1920’s Urban Bungalow – Award Winning Design
This 2004 ALCC, Association of Landscape Contractor’s of Colorado, Grand Award was presented for it’s originality in renovation.
The owner’s of this older Denver residence wanted a larger garden and patio for entertaining. Privacy was established with large, upright evergreens and fencing. A two-level, brick retaining wall with a pillared entry created a planting area and a base for a wrought iron fence and gate. Flagstone was used for the stairway to the home, and for pathways through the gardens.
The idea for this setting was to provide plantings with various textures and color and to provide visual interest year round. The clients desired a garden that they could take part in and in turn it would respond to their touch.
